NEW UPDATED BUS SCHEDULE - EFFECTIVE JANUARY 3, 2012

Beginning January 3, 2012, BlueXpress will operate on a new schedule. This scheduled has been adjusted to better reflect arrival and departure times.  Most of the changes are for the reverse commutes, although the 4:50 PM and 6:15 PM routes from downtown will now leave at 4:55 and 6:20 PM.  Other routes may leave or arrive a few minutes earlier or later, so please be sure to double check the schedule.  Click here to view the new schedule.

NEW BLUEXPRESS SCHEDULES - EFFECTIVE JANUARY 3, 2012

BlueXpress has a new schedule, effective January 3, 2011.  Most adjustments are minor, but please be sure to check the schedule as some routes may leave or arrive a few minutes earlier or later.  Printed copies of the new schedules are on the buses now.  Please ask your driver for a copy!

AUTO REFILL GO-TO CARDS!

On Nov. 14, Metro Transit will launch the Go-To Card system’s Auto Refill feature, which will allow customers to get their card refilled automatically when it reaches a predetermined amount. The system will charge a customer’s credit card with the reloaded value. Learn more about this new system at www.metrotransit.org/autorefill.

SUBURBAN RIDERSHIP STRONG FOR FIRST 6 MONTHS OF 2011

The Suburban Transit Providers (STPs) experienced strong ridership growth for the first six months of 2011. Ridership for the six providers ended June 30 up seven percent at 2,561,073 as compared to 2,393,861 at the end of June, 2010. BlueXpress led the STPs with an increase of more than 15% during the first six months of the year.  Click here for the complete press release.

Our goal is to make the BlueXpress commute as pleasant as possible for all of our riders. You can help by following these few simple guidelines:

• Rider numbers have been increasing, and many buses are standing room only. As a courtesy to your fellow passengers, please store all personal and carry on items in the storage areas provided, on the floor at your feet, or on your lap, and not on the seat next to you! 
• Arrive 5 minutes early to board your bus. Our buses run on time, so don't be late!  Drivers cannot stop to pick up stragglers.
• Cell phones are a distraction to the drivers and other riders. Please set your cell phones to vibrate or ring quietly, limit the length of your calls, and keep your voice low.
• Beverages are permitted on the bus, but must be in a sturdy container with a secure lid.
